New Racquetball Canada Awards
Through the kind donation of the Bryan Killins family of Vancouver, Racquetball Canada is proud to announce two new awards for the men's and women's champions in Open Doubles.
The men's doubles award is named the Usher Barnoff Award and will be presented annually. The Racquetball Canada Executive Committee was unanimous in naming the new award in honour of Usher Barnoff for his many years of dedication to Racquetball Canada and for representing Racquetball Canada on the international stage. Usher Barnoff is a most deserving person to have his name on this new prestigious national award.
The women's doubles award will be presented annually and is named the Josée Grand'Maître Award. The Racquetball Canada Executive Committee was unanimous in naming the new award to honour Josée Grand'Maître for the many years that she has played and represented Canada at the International level.
It is with great pleasure that Racquetball Canada honours these two deserving individuals and feels that the annual presentation will keep alive their dedication and personal contributions to the sport of racquetball.
The first recipients of the Usher Barnoff Award were Mike Green and Kris Odegard and the first recipients of the Josée Grand'Maître Award were Jennifer Saunders and Josée Grand'Maître herself.
