Junior NationalsJunior Nationals have come and gone for another year. All the results are available on the website. The 22nd Canadian Junior Nationals to be held in 2006 has been awarded to Burlington, Ontario. The tournament will be held at the Cedar Springs Club in Burlington. Also, Racquetball Canada has given the Heather Stupp Award to Christine Richardson of Regina and the Sherman Greenfeld Award to James Landeryou of Saskatoon. These awards acknowledge two junior athletes - a girl and a boy - who most exemplify personal excellence on and off the court. They are named after the great Canadian racquetball players Heather Stupp and Sherman Greenfeld, who were Canadian Junior Champions as well as multiple Canadian Senior and World Champions. Junior National TeamRacquetball Canada has announced the Junior National Team. Players were selected to the Junior Team based on results from the 21st Canadian Junior National Racquetball Championships in Winnipeg. NationalsNationals will be at the Regina Racquet and Court Fitness Club from May 23-28. Look for results on the RC website during the tournament. Pro ToursKane Waselenchuk has finished the International Racquetball Tour (IRT) season as number 1 for the season year in row. Waselenchuk won the Pro Nationals tournament in Chicago, and lost in the final of the Player's Championship in Dallas. The win in Chicago was his 8th of the season out of 12 tournaments, and he did not participate in two of those. Congratulations to Kane on his achievements this season. Christie Van Hees will also have a chance to finish the season as the number 1 player on the Ladies Professional Racquetball Association (LPRA) tour. She's in that position now, and there's only one tournament left. The LPRA season ends with their Pro Nationals in Atlanta on May 13-15. Full results of the men's and women's pro tours can be found at their respective websites: Michael BurgessMichael Burgess has been named the Manitoba Male Youth Athlete of the Year. This award is made by Sport Manitoba and voted on by Manitoba's sport media. Congratulations Michael! Tournament ScheduleMay is here and the racquetball season is coming close to the end. There is still Nationals, of course, and a couple of tune up events for that also. And don't forget the Klondike in July!

Championnats canadiens juniorsLes championnats canadiens juniors 2005 font maintenant partie du passé et les résultats sont disponibles sur le site internet (www.racquetball.ca). Les 22e championnats canadiens juniors de 2006 auront lieu au club Cedar Springs de Burlington, en Ontario. De plus, Racquetball Canada a décerné le Prix Heather-Stupp à Christine Richardson de Regina et le Prix Sherman-Greenfeld à James Landeryou de Saskatoon. Ces prix reconnaissent deux athlètes juniors un garçon et une fille qui représentent le mieux l'excellence personnelle sur le terrain et hors du terrain. Équipe nationale juniorRacquetball Canada a dévoilé la composition de son équipe nationale junior. Championnats canadiens seniorsLes championnats canadiens seront présentés au Club Racquet and Court Fitness de Regina, du 23 au 28 mai 2005. Surveillez les résultats sur www.racquetball.ca tout au long du tournoi. Circuits professionnelsKane Waselenchuk a complété la saison de l'IRT au premier rang du classement pour une deuxième année consécutive. Waselenchuk a remporté le tournoi Pro Nationals de Chicago et a perdu en finale du Championnat des joueurs à Dallas. La victoire à Chicago était sa huitième de la saison qui en compte 12, considérant qu'il a raté deux tournois. Félicitation à Kane pour ses succès cette saison. Christie Van Hees aura aussi l'occasion de compléter la saison au premier rang de la tournée de l'Association féminine de racquetball professionnelle (LPRA). Elle occupe cette position en ce moment avec un dernier tournoi à disputer. La saison de la LPRA se terminera du 13 au 15 mai avec le tournoi Pro Nationals à Atlanta. Tous les résultats des circuits masculins et féminins professionnels peuvent être consultès sur les site internet des deux circuits : Michael BurgessMichael Burgess a été nommé Athlète junior masculin de l'Année au Manitoba. Ce prix est remis par Sport Manitoba et est déterminé par le vote des medias sportifs de la province. Félicitation Michael!Horaire des tournoisC'est le mois de mai et la saison de racquetball tire à sa fin. Il y aura les championnats canadiens et quelques tournois préparatoires d'ici là. N'oubliez pas non plus le Klondike en juillet!
