Jen Saunders and Valari Hendrickson were recognized at the 2000 Nationals banquet for their officiating achievements over the past year. Both of these women received their international level II certification last summer, and their national level III certification in the fall of 1999. Both women refereed matches at the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg, and were two of the first three women ever to referee racquetball at any Pan Am Games.

Valari was subsequently asked to join the Racquetball Canada Officiating Committee. She was appointed as Chief Referee for the 2000 Senior Nationals, where she ran the Monday night Tech A clinic, as well as coordinated officiating throughout the week of the Nationals. Valari is the current President of the Alberta Racquetball Association.

Jen, a member of the National Espoir Team, presently works for Racquetball Manitoba. She was appointed as Chief Referee for the 2000 Junior Nationals in Quebec. She will also be the Canadian referee attending the World Championships in Mexico in August, 2000. Jen and her partner Julie Neubauer finished second in the National Doubles Monitoring event in February, 2000.

Jen Saunders et Valari Hendrickson ont été reconnues au banquet du championnet national de l'an 2000 pour leurs accomplissements en arbitrage au cours de la dernière année.
