Coaches for 2007 Pan American Championships

Racquetball Canada is pleased to announce that Ron Brown and Michel Gagnon have been selected to be the National Team Coaches for the 2007 Pan American Championships in Santiago Chile March 30 ­ April 7, 2007.

Brown and Gagnon both have extensive experience coaching at international events including the 2006 Pan American Championships, when Kris Odegard of Saskatoon won gold in men's singles, and the 2006 World Championships, when Christie Van Hees of Calgary won gold in women's singles.

Brown and Gagnon were recipients of Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence Awards in 2006.

Players for the 2007 Pan American Championships will be selected based on performances at the National Team Selection Event for doubles that happens this weekend in Victoria, B.C., and for singles that happens February 2-4 in Brossard, Que., as well as the results from the 2006 National Championships.
